Girls' Generation's Seohyun: Fans, don't fall sick from waiting in the rain for us

The floating platform at Marina Bay sure got some Korean pop stars excited.

Said Yun Ho of TVXQ, one of the acts which feature in tonight's mega K-pop concert SMTown Live World Tour III to be held at the floating platform: "It's the first time we're performing on water. Having seen the view, I think it's really beautiful and the evening view will be fantastic. Thanks to the fans for waiting so long."

The 26-year-old was speaking earlier this afternoon at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore at the press conference for Singapore's most massive K-pop concert ever.

Tonight's four-hour music extravaganza showcases top Korean label SM Entertainment acts such as Super Junior and Girls' Generation, as well as newbies such as South Korean-Chinese boyband EXO, which perform as two sub-groups - EXO-K and EXO-M.

Kris, 22, of EXO-M echoed Yun Ho's excitement about performing on the world's largest floating stage - at 120m long and 83m wide - to an audience of 23,000 people: "It's my first time being on water, really excited, hope we come back."

The other pop singers who attended the press conference were: Kangta, 33; BoA, 26; TVXQ's Changmin, 24; Super Junior's Donghae, 26; Girls' Generation's Seohyun, 21; Shinee's Onew, 22; f(x)'s Victoria Song, 25; and leader of EXO-K Suho (Kim Junmyeon), 21.

According to the concert promoter Running Into The Sun, none of the artistes expressed concern at the rain and extremely gloomy weather this afternoon.

Said Running Into The Sun's creative director Beatrice Chia-Richmond: "It's an outdoor event, we've made it clear it's rain or shine. Everything will be carried out as planned. The artists didn't express any concerns."

But Seohyun expressed concern for the fans who had queued up to get the best positions in the moshpit, many of them for several days before today.

"I'm kind of worried for those who queued, that they'll get sick. For that we will perform well tonight," she said.
