Music hits that were rejected: Imagine if Michael Jackson had sung Rock Your Body

Former Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger has confessed to missing out on some hit songs. The Huffington Post says Scherzinger was given the opportunity to record We Found Love which went to Rihanna and Crazy which was recorded by Gnarls Barkley.

The X-Factor judge said "I passed on We Found Love. I've got the demo of that song and I was busy at the time."

According to Billboard, Scherzinger isn't the only singer to pass on tracks that became major hits.

King of pop Michael Jackson apparently turned down Rock Your Body, the song was intended for Jackson's 2001 album, Invincible, but instead went to Justin Timberlake for his solo debut Justified.

Britney Spears rejected Lady Gaga's Telephone, which was originally written for Spears' album Circus. But it seems what goes around comes around, as Spears got Toxic, which won the pop star her first Grammy and which was also rejected by Kylie Minogue.
