PICTURES: The secret art of Dr Seuss

Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr Seuss, was famous for writing and illustrating classics like The Cat In The Hat, Horton Hears A Who, The Lorax and How The Grinch Stole Christmas.

A collection of his artwork will be on display at POP International Galleries in the Citicorp Building in New York. It will be a showcase of personal drawings and sculptures that Dr Seuss made for his own enjoyment.

Titled The Secret Art of Dr Seuss, the exhibit will feature creations and artwork of the artist throughout the entirety of his 70-year career.

It provides an in-depth look into the incredible imagination of Seuss, looking beyond just his great characters and the meaning behind his stories.
